Slowest and worst ISP I've ever dealt with
At the beginning of 2015 I started experiencing ridiculously slow internet speeds from Afrihost. Around 8kb/s with a 2MB line. I requested that they look into it, immediately they passed blame onto Telkom and I was told that there is nothing they can do until Telkom has repaired my line. I opened a ticket with Telkom, they came around to check my line, nothing was wrong with it and I still had slow speeds. Contacted Afrihost, they then told me that Telkom often can't find errors on their lines even if they are there. Dumb response.

After weeks of stupidly slow internet I decided it was time to cancel and change to a new ISP. I signed up for a 7 day trial with MWEB. BAM! Fast internet again!

On Afrihost's website it states that if you cancel before the 25th of the month you won't be locked in.
Great! The date is the 23rd. Email them to cancel. I only get a reply back on the 28th. In the reply....Sorry, you need to cancel before the 25th. Cool, so you just reply way too late for me to cancel this month. I requested a cancellation in time.

I then get told by Afrihost that they have cancelled my line and moved it back to Telkom but I will still be billed for data. Ridiculous!
We apologise for the problems you had with your DSL connectivity.
Our accounts team has credited you for the DSL line which was billed but returned to Telkom. Your mobile topup has used some of that credit already this month.
We request that all cancellation requests be made in ClientZone to avoid the situation you found yourself in when the ticket was responded to too late. You have used data on the account and it will remain available for you to use until the end of February. No further billing will be incurred for your DSL data and DSL line. You have correctly cancelled in ClientZone.
We wish you all the best with your new service provider.
