Slow internet turned into dead line and no internet

I used to be a huge fan of Afrihost and must have referred about a hundred people there... I used to get great service, uninterrupted connectivity and great responses to all my service calls. But something has gone terribly wrong. Our internet connection has been up and down for weeks, going from very slow to dead. My wife reported the problem more than a week ago, but nothing happened. Yesterday the line went completely dead and now there is no home phone or internet connectivity whatsoever... and no word from Afrihost on when this will be resolved, if at all. I am sorely disappointed.
