Shody nonexisting service
I have been paying Afrihost for almost 2 years without fail. But the past 3 months I have been paying them for a nonexistant fibre service. I have called so many times, sent emails so many times with no tangible solution. At first I thought maybe its their router so I bought a new router but the problem of connected without internet remained. So I asked them to summon TT Connections technicians to my house to look at the problem. They gave me ref numbers but TT technicians never came till this day. I cpllected TT Connections direct and told me to go through Afrihost.com. They just did not want to hear the fact that I have already done so. Going back to Afrihost is a headache cause you deal with a different agent everytime you talk to them.and thus must explain your problems afresh everytime. And they take your through same questions and activities everytime even when you have already done so. I Even tried writing to their CEO who never answered me until I coppied him on my termination of service email, he responded by registering his dissappointment that after my months of loyalty I was leaving them. He offered me a gift of a free domain site and am like: Dude? I need data for that and yet you cant give that? I have sent them photos to show that I am paying for a dead service. Have had to use alternate services at a another cost to do business. Have lost some b I bussiness after my presentations in online meetings crushed and clients assuming I am a con. Instead of solving my technical problems, Afrihost sent a lot of apologetic emails that required data to read, non existant data.
I am really disappointed in Afrihost's response to this and am looking elsewhere for a new provider. As I find a new service provider TT Connection tells me that they are awaiting Afrihost to cancell my services with them so as to allow the new service provider to take over. And that it will take 30 days to reconnect thereafter. In the mean time Afrihost, after I had sent them a termination email a month ago has debited my account for a non existant service. When I told them that I had asked them to cancell their month to month service. They tell me I should do it through their internet service portal which is the only way to do, which requires data..... I wish I could attached their emaIls and photo evidance of the headache that I am experiencing. As I sit and write, I have no internet and yet I have paid. In the meantime Gian (CEO) and Greg (Director) are on holiday. I have to deal with incapable call centrer people who can not solve my non connected problem.
