Shocking Service and False Advertising

I recently contacted Afrihost with the intention of connecting a new WiFi service with the Company. The calls were firstly not answered and being advised that the service was good, I called 4 times until I reached a person who unfortunately was abrupt and fobbed me off, which annoyed me. I cut the conversation and chose another company.

I contacted another service provider and in contrast I was dealt with quickly and had the service confirmed and installed in 24 hours by Open Serve. This seemed amazing and impressive, however the installation team were rather slack and in no way competent calling another team to assist. I thought this would be quicker, not so!

At a point in time I was rather anxious to leave and told the gents who had said they need an hour to complete the work, that I urgently need to attend another meeting. They chatted and stood around and when I questioned and said that I am leaving four times, they responded that they need 5 minutes. This continued with no urgency at all and after 30 minutes I left the premises and locked them inside.

This service provider has to date not connected me after numerous calls, messages and emails. They have however sent an invoice. for a service which I do not have.

Thus my communication with Afrihost. I chatted with a person yesterday at the company and when I mentioned that I would like to confirm an order he directed me through the process online. The point where I would choose the package offers from Open Serve for R 399 pm was not available and only VUMA appeared. He told me "not to worry" as he will sort this out when I have the service connected. I declined this and said I would drive in to the office.

This morn I went to Rivonia and from reception to the person I dealt with the experience was sadly disrespecting. I was firstly over looked and a gent who arrived after me was dealt with ahead of me. He happened to be a person of colour and I not. I was then informed that the package is not supported as Afrihost do not have an agreement with Open Serve in the area in which I live.

Surely this did not happen overnight.

I suggest that the staff be properly trained and not WASTE our time in this manner.

This is seriously unsatisfactory.
