Shocking Customer Service

My internet line has been down for more around about 1 month now. After spending hundreds of rands on airtime on calls to Afrihost trying to get updates on the issue I have come to the decision to close the line as I have lost hope that the issue will be resolved.

The Issue started off with a Technician advising that my router was the issue about 2 weeks after the first issue was logged(1st incident logged 3 November 2016). I immediatly went and replaced the router. Replacing the router did not resolve the issue. After logging a new incident with Afrihost a new incident was supposedly logged with Telkom. The very next day I received an sms to say incident resolved when it in fact was not. No feedback was provided as promised and I had to call in on a daily basis to continously log new incidents as every time I would log it I would receive the same SMS to say issue resolved. The issue was then supposedly escalated within Afrihost and Telkom. This was the feedback given by the Afrihost consultants i spoke to on my regular calls

Last night (29/11/2016) I contacted Telkom myself and to my disgust it turns out that Afrihost has in fact not been logging anything with Telkom. The only incidents they have on their side are the 1st one logged on the 3rd November (marked as resolved incorrectly) and another incident logged on the 28th November by a manager at Afrihost. This incient was also marked as resolved incorrectly.

I have spent countless hours on calls and not to mention the money spent pointlessly on a new router and aitime. I have also had to constantly buy data from my mobile provider thorughout the month. The amount of resources i have wasted this month is astounding. On top of all of this my requests to be refunded are shrugged off

I have given up completely here and I have taked the decision to stop this waste of money and time and cancel the contract.

Sincerely

disappointed Customer

William
