Shocking cancellation FEE for unusable Rain/Afrihost LTE Service

Afrihost promised a fibre like LTE experience and so I signed up for their RAIN package.

For a month the LTE performance was fine and then it degraded to unusable speed (on full signal strength) - an average of 1mbps down and less than 0.05mbps up. For a while patience prevailed whilst I was told the network was being upgraded but there was nothing Afrihost could do and that we simply had to wait... there was NO timeline for the fix. My service tickets show that I enquired on multiple occasions and the best response was please wait... and pay!

I paid for this unusable service for 2 months... and then cancelled.

And now Afrihost have the audacity to charge me a R999 cancellation fee for a service that couldn't be used.

I want this cancellation fee reversed.... I cancelled not because I wanted to, I cancelled because I couldn't use it and because the service tickets show that Afrihost were simply telling me to wait... there was nothing they could do?

To add insult to injury Afrihost accounts have not bothered to respond to my enquiries.

Stay away from Afrihost people. And don't touch RAIN LTE.
