Revised Pricing

Good morning Afrihost,

Although this report is neither a compliment nor a complaint, I would like to post it on Hellopeter for others to see.

Afrihost does try and assist where possible with internet problems I experience so I thank you for that.

I would like to find out when Afrihost will be announcing revision of its prices for ADSL services considering that Telkom has dropped the wholesale IPC internet prices considerably according to [URL Removed] as much as up to 64% across all of its wholesale IPC internet prices for ISP's.

Can you give me as well as other customers an indication of where Afrihost stands with regards to this news and when we can expect a decrease in our monthly ADSL access prices?

Hello wlavarinhas,

Interesting topic, thanks for brining it up!
I'm afraid the news around IPC price cuts is a little conflicted though. The real price cuts are coming in for the smaller players in the industry with easily accessible price points.

Having built up our IPC for over two years, we have a substantial amount of throughput available, which Telkom prices at a higher price point with more buy in. At this stage, we'd have to invest millions of Rands to see a benefit on the network side, while sacrificing our pricing structure.

Saying this though, we're always looking at giving our clients the best possible value for money. This goes for both additional data at no cost of actual price drops. I hope this clears things up a little :)

Regards
The Afrihost team

Best regards,
