Reinstall charges for my fibre due to kzn floods

The recent kzn floods caused my fence to fall which damaged the fibre cable which was placed on front of my fence. Called afrihost to report the issue and they eventually sent a maintenance team to take a look. Now I got an email saying the connection cannot be fixed and I will have to pay a reinstallation cost even though the cable got damaged by an act of nature and would not have been damaged in the first place if the installation team did not do such a ****py job. They literally put the fibre cable on a hollow plastic pipe and placed the pipe with the cable inside above ground behind the fence. ****py service provider that want to make easy money with reinstall fees.
