I recently relocated to a new residence within the same neighborhood. We found that our ISP, Afrihost, provided fibre service at the new location. We initiated the re-location over a week ago. Since then, two technicians came to the house to re-configure the fibre box which is through Vumatel. However, a week later, we still do not have active fibre internet service. It seems that there is a third party involved in the install service but no on appears to be in charge to coordinate the successful installation of service. We know that fibre internet is available since the previous tenant utilised Vumatel as their fibre service provider. Unfortunately, it is not clear when our fibre service will be initiated at our residence. I've had to communicate directly with Vumatel and the third party, Britelink, in order to receive updates and initiate actions into my service issues. Afrihost fibre was fine at our previous residence and we are still in the same neighborhood. Not sure why it is an issue now.
