RAIN & Afrihost need to catch a wake up

I have previously been with iBurst for about 6-7 years until Rain took them over last year and we were migrated to LTE. I have had a 20G contract and NEVER exceeded that in all the time I have been with both providers. At the beginning of this year I started my Masters degree, work in the Creative sector, watch TV series and movies on line, as well as had at least 3- 5 devices ( including my family) running off the wif-fi at any given time.

At the beginning of June 2018 we were moved to Afrihost with regard to billing, etc, still under RAIN. Within 2 weeks I was told that my data was already 80+% utilised. I purchased 10 more gigs only to be informed of the same thing on day 8 from purchase. This month (July) .. the same situation occurred. my usage of the internet has now been drastically reduced to less than 50 % of what it used to be. Not to mention the stress. How does one study and run a business with this kind of service.

My repeated calls to Afrihost has come down to " We hae escalated this to RAIN and are still awaiting feedback" or "download a certain app so we can see where your data is being used". I have called the billing, customer care division as well as the tech depts. To add insult to injury, 2 days ago I was told by a manager of the Tech dept at AFrihost that RAIN is using LTE-A now, and therefore the speed is faster, etc etc. I went onto the internet and researched this phenomena, only to find that I have an LTE router , NOT an LTE- A router as these cannot be used interchangeably.

I have till November 2018 until my contract expires .. is this going to be the situation every month.. I do not believe that RAIN nor Afrihost are being ethical in their treatment and representation to their customers, and are utilising the same means to get customers to spend more than their contract values
