"Pure Internet ******ion"

"Pure Internet ******ion" - Once you get past the honeymoon phase of new internet you are sure to be confronted with their abysmal client service, which ironically you can't phone, so when something is wrong with your internet, you have to find a connection somewhere to Whatsapp or Email them, and then you still don't have any guarantee to get a reply. After my 1st year (almost exactly) of relatively few issues (note: not without issues) Afrihost unilaterally changed the network provider and almost immediately I had issues with inconsistent service. They also made it impossible to monitor my internet usage. I contacted the customer service assistant who after a back and forth, the issue seemed to clear up, leading me to think they had tweaked something on their side, but within a couple of weeks, the issue returned. Again I contacted the support staff, who instead of helping me, sent me a set of instructions for the router, despite the fact that I clearly stated that the issue was clearly with the service provider since the issues coincided with the switch. After having tried unsuccessfully for several weeks (during lockdown when it really was crucial to have it resolved), I eventually decided to email the CEO since he liberally sends customers a monthly email to maintain the facade that they really care and are approachable. The response: Silence. Finally, after I had inexplicably run out of data again and was unable to see where's when it had been used, I finally bought one last top-up and cancelled the service. Within less than 2 weeks, they then cut me off and my data was forfeited despite the 30 day period, and all my emails and WhatsApps regarding the problem were promptly ignored. Considering the fact that we are currently still under lockdown, this has significant impact financially (not to mention the theft of the data) and I find it simply despicable that it takes more than 2 months without service and no satisfaction.

Their slogan would read better as "Pure Internet ******ion"
