Promises promises promises
I signed up with AFRIHOST mobile data in January 2015. Since day 1 I have had bad reception (EDGE, GPRS and 2G) at my house despite being in a LTE/3G area. I have logged numerous tickets, submitted the form to MTN via Afrihost numerous times to sort out my reception and all I recieved was promises that my problem would be sorted out. Just also keep in mind the fact that I have excellent reception once I leave my house, so the problem is not with the device. So at first I was promised a resolution via MTN, but now AFRIHOST says that I must accept the fact that I am living in a **** area! That's right... those were the exact words the operator used! **** area!!! I would like AFRIHOST to sort out my problem and I want better signal at my house. I will complain every day till they sort it out. I will phone the call center and log another complaint with HELLO PETER until AFRIHOST sorts out my problem
We apologise for the poor coverage you are experiencing in your house and the interaction you have had with our support team.
As you know, our services offer clients access to MTN's infrastructure. This infrastructure belongs to MTN and any discrepancies will need to be investigated by MTN and their coverage team. We would recommend logging a complaint directly with MTN on their website. We will then be happy to follow up for you once the query has been logged with MTN directly.
We apologise for the frustration you are experiencing. Based on previous complaints of this nature, this has been the best way to get a resolution. Their coverage team can interact directly with you.
You can email us the MTN provided reference to ***.
