Promised a free month but now must pay!!
I took out an Afrihost mobile data package on the 07th of August. I specifically signed up because there was a lot of free benefits promised when I do sign up, like a free month, free music with Symfy, and a bill to pay only at end of September. On the 15th of this month I made some changes on packages as I realized there were wrong packages selected. I did not realize there were costs involved as I was under the impression the first month is for free. I have all the email proof of trying to sort out this nonsense with Afrihost, to no avail!<br> <br> I have received numerous emails now with threats that my service will be suspended if I don't pay R54.29. I have on numerous occasions tried to sort this problem out with consultants. To no avail. I have to pay for my free month!How ridiculous! And on top of that they do not cater for Cash only clients. It comes down to **************, directly or indirectly I do not care!<br> <br> This is the second time that I am having a bad run with Afrihost and would not recommend it to anyone.
Our Afrihost Plus+ package, which includes the Simfy Music Streaming Service, Double Data, 2-for-1 Top-Ups as well as 500MB of Mobile Data does indeed include a 1-month free trial period.
However, our Mobile Data packages do not include a free trial period, and there will be a pro-rata charge for the first months use of the account, with regular billing commencing from the first day of the next month.
The R54,29 outstanding on your account is the pro-rata charge for your Mobile Data package and will need to be settled otherwise your account will be suspended.
Our Terms and Conditions are expressly clear that we only accept payment via Credit Card and Debit Order.
