This is an attempt to get the attention of Gian, CEO of Afrihost, as he has not rep**** to any of my emails in months, except for automatic replies that says his inbox is very full, but that he will get back to me. I wonder if he meant next year? Afrihost has been struggling with many issues since July. Hopefully their payment system is now sorted. I will see at the end of this month. Before July, I would have given Afrihost five stars, as we have used them for 8 years. Since the start of this month, Afrihost has been struggling to upgrade our existing line to a higher speed and can not get it right. It has now been 22 days and the last I heard from them was 5 days ago. That was just to say that they are again escalating it. Am I the only one to think that upgrading the line speed should be something very basic to an ISP? Should they not have systems in place to be able to do it in say 24hours? Should they not have systems in place to handle these type of situations where their systems seemed to have failed? I have already paid for the higher speed for November, so Afrihost will have to credit me for services not rendered. What sort of company can throw away money like that? The agents/technicians ask the same questions over and over and pass you from one agent/technician to the next and they obviously do not read the previous emails. Gian, how long do you think it should take to upgrade the line speed on an existing line, with the same fibre provider to a speed you advertise? Just so that everyone knows, I gave evreyone fair warning that I will post this review. The second star is only there, because our lower line speed is still functioning, but it would have been far easier and less time consuming to have moved to another ISP back in July when all the problems surfaced.
