Poor Service, Intermittent Connectivity, Excuses and Empty Promises

Over the past 3 weeks I have spoke to more than 10 different people at Afrihost over an issue of no internet connectivity.

I'm certain if the Afrihost management team put themselves in the position of a consumer, they will find the service and conduct of their organisation to be poor, relating to my query in particular.

1. I was told my router is faulty and will be replaced free of charge. Nobody informed me of any collection nor delivery cost, which I was billed and subsequently 1 fee of R99 was reversed. (I still have the apparent faulty router and no new router has been delivered, 3 weeks in and still nothing) 2. Vinay(Supervisor) informs he will call me back and does not. 3. Vinay to busy to take my call or does not take my call but goes to the warehouse department to investigate my query, but does not get back to me on the status of the router query. 4.I'm told a ticket is logged with the service provider, a week later I.m still experiencing the same issues and 1 person at Afrihost actually logs the ticket with Octotel who comes out immediately to investigate and replaces the internet box. Despite the internet box change, I'm still experiencing the same issue with the PON and ALM lights on static Red. 5. A call center agent informs me that the reason why my internet is going off is because I'm on an old package where Afrihost Throttles and Shapes the line and if I upgrade to the Pure Fiber option, I wont have the shaping and throttling, so I upgrade, however I'm still experiencing the same issue.(intermittent connectivity (PON and ALM lights on red) 6. Only superiors on duty, no department manager available as they on leave(Wow what fantastic service) 7. I have literally spent several hours on the phone with this company and still don't have a resolution to my queries. 8. Mixed messages from different consultants
