POOR SERVICE FROM AFRIHOST FIXED LTE

We have been using Afrihost for several years. Their service has been excellent and I would always recommend them to my family and friends. We use ADSL, mobile, RAIN and Fixed LTE throughout South Africa. Problems have been few and usually sorted out within 24 hours. Since Saturday the 8th of August 2020 at 15h15 we suddenly started experiencing extremely slow internet speeds with more than 1 Fixed LTE user in the same area. Mentioned users are in a ±300m radius and common sense should suggest that the problem is at the same tower. We have been resetting, hard resetting and several other procedures have been given by Afrihost and performed. At some stage Afrihost informed us that the MTN tower was congested. Using the Fixed LTE product is exactly why there should NOT be any congested towers. Fifteen days later and we still experience slow internet speeds i.e. 1Mbps or less! Shame on you Afrihost! Fortunately fibre is being installed in our area and soon we will all be leaving Afrihost/MTN.
