Paying for NO SERVICE

Issues with my ADSL line started on the 20th April. This is the 90+ day journey that now has me outraged at how a company has the audacity to expect you to pay for a service you could not use during this time.

Over this period I reached out to Afrihost to follow up on how the restoration of my service is going. Always getting the same answer "waiting for Telkom". That led me to start dealing with Telkom myself. So reaching 92 days without connectivity of connectivity so bad that I was not unable to connect to the whatsapp service. Out of pure frustration I decided to cancel my ADSL with Afrihost and get a refund on my money paid for a service that I could no longer use.

This week after the cancellation I have seen how *********** Afrihost really is.

According to "their" records my issue was resolved on the 3rd May never mind the fact that Afrihost was still sending me updates regarding my faulty line last one 21st July

After requesting cancellation of Afrihost service and have them move the line back to Telkom they asked Telkom to cancel the line in its entirety. This seems to be malicious or another example of incompetence.

Now because my issue was "resolved" Afrihost refuses to process a refund. Even after a communication from them stating that they will process the refund when my ADSL issue was resolved.

Now to top it off Afrihost decided to send me one final invoice just to prolong my bad experience. Another invoice for a service that was un-usable for more than 90 days and Afrihost for sure did not care about customer service. Thankfully after some debate they decided to cancel the final invoice but that still left the issue of the 3 months funds that they will not refund.

I am stunned that in this modern age where information and internet connectivity is so advanced a company like Afrihost struggles with the basics.
