Pathetic Service

placed an order for fibre on the 28th February 2024 with Afrihost and they told me that Vumatel would be coming to my premises. On the 18th March i got an email that fibre installation is scheduled for the 19th March at 8am-9am. Indeed, a guy called Pule with his friend came to our house and made the installation. He confessed to me that he has never went to school for that but yet was in our house to do the installation. On the 25th March Afrihost delivered the router. From the 25th we were unable to connect, phoned Afrihost on the 25th until the 28th where i was advised by several people that the logged a ticket with Vuma. On the 27th a guy called Ntando Ndimande from Vuma phoned me to get information from me and later that night i received an email that it has been resolved i should rate them. On the 28th in the morning i rep**** to the email that the device is still not active and that on Vuma box the service light is still not green like those other lights on thekr box. He rep**** back saying i should contact my service provider which is Afrihost. On the 29th i got the above email from Lerato sereo CCd,Shakira Alvis, Nonhlanhla Madela, Raheera Rosool Abraham and Anastacia Smuts. demanding i pay R1725 to reinstall.

Good day Our company is contracted to Vumatel to assist with installations in your area. We have received information on the damaged fibre cable in your property. A reinstall is recommended for us to restore your fibre connection. The cost of a reinstall is R1725.00. Kindly make payment into the following Bank account for the reinstallation: First National Bank Enterprise Business Account PPI Telecoms Account Number: *** Branch Number: 251650 Payment Reference: NAME & SURNAME ONLY A team will be dispatched to your property once we receive the proof of payment via return email. Kindly respond to all included in this email trail. We look forward to your response Client details.

Why should we pay for something that we have been reporting from day one that it's not working? Who damaged the cable? We've never touched it was only the people who were installing so why don't they demand the R1725 from them for damaging the cables? I am not going to pay for something i did not use and have been reporting from the day it was installed that it's not working. Afrihost and Vumatel should sort this thing out and stop pestering me with their emails. I don't owe them anything and i am not going to pay anything to them. Vumatel should come and collect their damaged cables and Afrihost terminate my contract with them with immediate effect.
