Pathetic service!
<p>I remember when i first joined Afrihost their service was great. Not much issues. Since they have dropped below no.1 ISP their service has reached junk status. </p> <p> </p> <p>I have had faulty internet for 3 weeks, absolutely unusable yet Afrihost completely ignores this. They haven't even responded to my emails that i had sent a week ago. Who the F@*k does this. After promising if i purchase my adsl line from them they will sort out all issues with Telkom, yet they can't even respond to an email. What a joke!</p> <p> </p> <p><span style="color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px; background-color: #ffffff;">I had originally sent messages to Afrihost about my problem, internet faulty and phone line not working, Afrihost responded by saying it is not their problem and that i should contact Telkom directly to sort out my issue. I had done that no thanks to Afrihost, phone line was fixed and is currently working perfectly however the problem with my adsl persists. </span></p> <div style="color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px; background-color: #ffffff;"> </div> <div style="color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px; background-color: #ffffff;">The Adsl is completely unstable. Whenever i try to use it, the internet goes down and returns after a minute or so. I'm able to use the internet for approximately 30 seconds before it goes out for 1 to 2 minutes. When i am able to use the internet, it works at snail pace that within the 30 seconds, the page barely loads. I know this as i am monitoring the lights on my router. At certain times it works for a couple minutes and other times it doesn't work for an hour. Seems that when i leave the internet running for downloads overnight the internet, it partially works but mostly when i require to use it for work the internet will continue giving problems. I have tried a number of troubleshooting including resetting the router, taking it off the power etc. numerous times with no success. This is extremely frustrating! yesterday i had done an electronic funds transfer after waiting for an hour for the internet to come on. As soon as i pressed pay, the internet went off again whilst the transaction was processing. I just hope the payment goes through as it did not finish process yet the amount was taken off my bank account. I cannot deal with this anymore, ever since just before Afrihost had turned to Afrigreen i have been experiencing numerous problems. I am no technician but i know there is a serious problem as my internet should be working with no issue as the phone line is working perfectly (The excuse Afrihost gave when i contacted them several times). Now that my phone line is fixed, what other excuse can Afrihost give me to avoid fixing the issue themselves. I have wasted 3 weeks of no internet and still have to pay for the pathetic service to Afrihsot after they had given me a false diagnosis. Seems like Afrihost doesn't give a **** about clients anymore after the response received in my last few emails.</div> <div style="color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px; background-color: #ffffff;"> </div> <div style="color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px; background-color: #ffffff;">If you are new to adsl or conider getting a new ISP, stay far away from Afrihost!</div> <div style="color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px; background-color: #ffffff;"> </div> <div style="color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px; background-color: #ffffff;">Afrihost really needs to catch a wake up or they will be competing for bottom ISP position, if not reached yet!</div> <div style="color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px; background-color: #ffffff;"> </div> <div style="color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px; background-color: #ffffff;">Definitely not internet joy!</div>
