Pathetic afrihost. *****

Afrihost are the worst at service delivery, quick to debit funds but inefficient, ***** and the services are pathetic! I would not recommend this waste of time “service provider” nor would I use their so called services.

I have cancelled my hosting plan, the costs are higher than competitors and they offer much less. The assistance they offered was pathetic and not helpful.

I downloaded an email backup folder from afrihost through an ftp, uploaded this backup to check if the files were downloaded correctly but there were missing emails (close to 40% of emails missing) I then downloaded the backup at least 4 more times this backup is 52gb!!

Lo and behold, the same ******* with emails not showing up. I called afrihost and they recommend I do what I have already done 5 times.

I then spoke to Christo at their call center and he “arranged” with his supervisor that I go in to the walk in in Rivonia with a backup hard drive and they will do the backup. When I get there, they gladly take the hard drive and tell me up to 3 working days to upload a backup - so much for “blazing fibre speeds!” Can’t download a damn backup in a week.

I’ve been there 3 times and they keep stalling. I spoke to the rudest, most arrogant person named Dominic. He walks around and whispers to other employees and says he will get the backup done only to return with more excuses on why my backup can’t be or hasn’t been done.

Waste of time and money.
