Passing the buck, no service

We left our previous ISP due to poor service and joined Afrihost as they had a great reputation, and their 4G LTE packages looked great. We signed up for the top tier uncapped, unthrottled, unshaped, top of the range 4G LTE internet connection so that we could homeschool our son as we must have an uninterrupted internet connection for this. In addition, we made our home load shedding proof with a big inverter & battery backup - so we are all set, right? Wrong, Afrihost does not supply an internet connection during load shedding!!!!!! So we invested a huge amount to get off the grid, we pay Afrihost about R1000 per month for their connection, but only after all this are we stuck with no internet during load shedding & Afrihost is not prepared to assist or remedy the problem. Consider that we’ve had close to 2000 hours of load shedding in 2022, that is close to 90 days or 3 months or 1/4 of the year where we have no electricity, and therefore no internet connection service which we are paying Afrihost to deliver. Surely we deserve a refund for non-delivery in their part? One month for some strange reason we unfortunately used more than 1TB of data, Afrihost immediately cut our internet connection to an unusable level, so much so we had no connection for the last week of that month where we apparently used up our unthrottled, uncapped, unshaped internet package? Isn’t that unfair, we must pay & pay but there is no need for Afrihost to deliver.
