Non-existent customer support

I organised fiber for my parents through Vumatel and Afrihost. Vumatel were quick to install it into the flat which was great. I tried getting everything setup and after spending hours on a Saturday trying to get through to Afrihost support, they still could not help me; saying I should do this test and then contact them AGAIN to inform them that it is not working so they can get a technician out to come fix the issue. Needless to say, I logged a support issue to notify them that it was still not working. The ticket apparently got "shifted" to the fiber division, inturn removing the ticket from my clientzone - I never got notified about this. This ticket was logged on the 24th of Feb, I still haven't heard anything from them yet on the email trail and I keep having to deal with the Facebook page for support.

Surprise surprise, they have debited my parents for something they haven't even been able to use yet.

Afrihost has become the new Telkom wrt customer service. The company is a joke.
