No connection with Afrihost

I am struggling to get hold of Afrihost or get assistance from them, nobody to assist after hours which is the time that we working class people need assistance. I sent an email yesterday morning and still no response. Tried calling them and voice recording says to wait for 29 minutes....on whose bill? Tried the what’s app platform and still no response or assistance after waiting for 25 minutes. They probably took on much more that they can handle. After all, we need to be at home in front of the router for assistance or else nobody will assist. My problem relates to a monthly issue when the router goes bonkers and needs to be reset or reconfigured. I never experienced this with other providers and it only seems to happen with Afrihost. I do not have the time and energy to be fighting about this monthly, especially in the first few days of the month. Further to this there is buffing most of the evenings when streaming on dstv now. Increased my fibre speed up to 20mb and it does not make a difference so decided to downgrade. Now to think back, this monthly reset seems to be a common problem when on the lower speeds. We also rely on the WiFi for our baby cams, that help us to see our babies activities during the day, keep her entertained with you tube nursery songs/dance for stimulation, and preventing high data costs for running our cellphones. Thanks to Afrihost’s terrible service, we are unable to achieve all of the above. I actually wonder how they apply a calculation for credit note and whether they take all of the inconvenience into consideration, of just the daily charge where they suppose to generate a profit. With all of the competition going around, I suppose the company offering better service will have a lot to gain. I am hoping that Afrihost can now release me and not hold any contractual obligation of cancelling within 6 months taking into consideration my history of these complaints, as I would like to engage with another provider for better service.
