No broadband for work for a month. Thanks Afrihost
A month ago I reported a fault on my router. It had been giving problems since the start.
I still do not have a new router despite repeated communications.
The defective router was eventually collected 3 days ago. Yesterday I received the replacement. It was my old one! How could they inspect the router and send a new one back in 2 days so obviously a huge red flag.
I'm afraid that last night I was very rude to the totally inept support agent. Not usually my style.
I work for a huge reinsurance company in the UK. My Internet connection is my lifeline.
I threatened I'd go to social media last week - and I don't take this lightly - and I am now doing so. With vengeance.

03 Feb 2026, 09:03An update.
After being charged for a service I didn't use for a month and for a 'new' router to be collected and couriered back, I received the original router.
According to Afrihost the router had been tested and found to be faultless.
Tired of this fruitless battle, I have purchased my own router. And finally have a WiFi network.
I am digusted in this lack of service.
As a data engineer of 30 years I know enough about networking to recognise a fault in equipment.
