Good Day, I have received the mail below this morning indicating that my account is in arrears by R132.48 and will be suspended shortly.

I have logged in via clientzone and made the payment, I have even received a pin when the payment was made. I couple of seconds later I received a sms from FNB indicating that an amount of R18,413.68 was deducted from my business account.

I have opened a case at the FNB ***** department and there is a formal investigation activated. I need to know from Afrihost how was my details leaked to this 3rd party?

Apologies for the inconvenience caused, We can not exactly account for how this spammer has go your details as various actions can expose your information that we can not account for, this may be signing up on sites that are not verified and selling your data, there are also contact form compromisations that may also farm your data which is why a capture for example is important. I would suggest to do a scan on all devices and go through the website thoroughly to ensure all plugins and security patches are up to date. Please remember that when you receive a spam email you must always check the from address to see the actual email. If there are spam emails these should be marked as spam and added to the spam filter to train the spam filter and start to prevent certain types of spam.
