Very sad.
I've been with afrihost for many years now and finally decided to call it quits After day 17 of intermittent connection.
Over the last 17 days we've done' all your Lan tests. Connected to the ONT Even gone as far as buying a brand new router at my own cost (proper wifi 6 Asus routers) checked all your lights. Changed cables to CAT 6 cables to make sure hardware isn't the issue....
On about day 10 found out the Mac address between tt connect and afrihost don't match- after now a further 8 days of asking you to change the Mac address you still cannot even get that right and tell me (as per e mail on 24 May) I'm still using a Huawei router ( I've had an Asus router since November 2022) and we are now in May 2024..... this was escalated to tt connect so you could call them and make sure things are matching and still not done as of today 25 May 24.
Between phone calls, e mails and whatsapps I've lost count on how many times this has been escalated with absolutely no follow up what so ever! Not once have I had a follow up or a call back when a technician said they would call back.
All you can say is its either TT Connect fault or my router, but with a brand new router your line keeps dropping! I cannot even do a simple bank transfer successfully in-between drops.
You can't even send someone out after 17 days to come and fix the problem.... And yet you happily take my money every month....
It's disgusting! I've asked for a refund for the 17 days that I could not work from home and I can't even get that! Never mind all the data I've had to purchase and petrol I've used driving around to find free wifi to work.
So bye bye Afrihost , so long. I'm sure there will be more to follow..... Your customer service is non existent and it seems its always someone else's fault , you can't take responsibility.
