Mobile data SIM only connects to 2G

Afrihost advertises that their Mobile Data SIM is identical to that of MTN. It has the same 3G coverage, but gives you the added benefit of allowing port forwarding on their unrestricted APN. They furthermore promise a 24hr email support service.<br> <br> I have tested their SIM against an MTN SIM. In Cape Town both connect to 3G no problem. In the Karoo, using the same router, same setup as in Cape Town, Afrihost only connects to 2G while all other MTN SIM cards I've tested connect to 3G with no problem. I guess this proves that Afrihost does not provide the same coverage after all.<br> <br> I've contacted Afrihost support about this, but they have been ignoring me for a week now and counting.<br> <br> Afrihost simply does not provide the service they claim to be giving. Their 24hr support does not appear to exist either.
