Misinformation from Afrihost

On 4/6/2018 I went to Afrihost's offices in Sandton to get a wi-fi router so my business could be connected to the internet until such time as fibre was available in my area.

The sales consultant (I did not take his name) that helped me advised me that after 3 month's I could give a month's notice to discontinue the service.

I phoned Afrihost today (23/8/2018) to give them 1 month's notice as I now have fibre and I was advised that I can only give notice after 6 months otherwise I will be charged with a cancellation fee of R900.00.

I am very upset about this as I was told it was 3 months and I would not have taken this service if it was 6 months as I knew the fibre was going to be available within 3 months.
