Makes excuses, doesn't care

I moved my 10mbps ADSL line to Afrihost May 2017. From day one, I never reached full line speed. On good days, it would go up to maybe 8.5, not more. I was told by Afrihost that the line is syncing at full speed multiple times... What a surprise. But that's not the biggest issue I have. The speed drops multiple times per day, sometimes so slow, it comes to a grinding hold. I can't even bring up Google. It would stay like this for for maybe 30 minutes, sometimes hours and lately it has been days. Happens and lasts at random times.

I've logged tickets for this and was told to provide screenshots of speed tests and trace routes - which I did. Days later, Afrihost's response was once again that there is nothing wrong and the problem must be on my end. I was told to get another router and repeat the whole process - which I did again. I've provided Afrihost with another set of screenshots on January 12. Haven't gotten a reply since then. Contacted them via Twitter on January 15 and was told that this would be brought up with the team. 2 days go by and nothing but crickets. I rep**** and was told in return "That this is not the service they want their customers to have". Another day went by AND STILL NOTHING. I rely on a fast and stable line (think work and studies) but it becomes impossible to do anything sometimes.

I am paying for a service I can't even fully use and when I bring up issues with them via email, you either get ignored or they reply with some standard BS and tell you it's not their problem. Try and call. You're on hold for an hour, then you get to speak to someone who puts you on hold again and then leaves you there for a full 30 minutes hoping that the problem (Me) will just go away while they take lunch or whatever is more important at that time.

If you think Telkom has **** service, Afrihost surely comes in as very close second. This is absolutely pathetic
