Line speed you pay for is not what you get

This is how my 10meg connection looks that I pay for from Afrihost

***********

Internet Connection Status: Connected
Default Gateway: ppp0.1
Preferred DNS Server: 169.1.1.2
Alternate DNS Server: 169.1.1.1
Connection Up Time: 02 day,07 hour,28 min,48 sec
Downstream Line Rate (Kbps): 1559
Upstream Line Rate (Kbps): 511

******

If I reboot I get 1.1Meg or even 997K

10 months of lack of service. When you ask for a credit they say they don’t credit for intermittent service. When you make them aware that it’s not intermittent they send you a new email response of We don’t credit for slow service

I was actually wondering if they credit for pathetic service

10 Months of closing faults saying it’s repaired when it is not. They do not want it on their error logs as it looks bad to management not that they respond to this poor and pathetic service

I would never recommend them to anyone not even my worst enemy. It is shameful how the service levels in this country is so poor and our expectations are at that level. They there to grab the money without failure but they do not give you what you pay for.

Then they try to lie to me saying I am too far from the exchange to get 10Meg BUT before the fault I was running on 10Meg OH my house is made of brick I am not in a caravan to all of a sudden move further away from the exchange.

Every excuse not to repair BUT never "sorry sir I will fix it and give you what you pay for"

Shameful and disrespectful that not even the management returns calls

The phase of embarrassment they must feel to supply this poor service
