Line speed

been with afrihost for about 4 years and when my line speed, connectivity and the support staff where amazing back then up till a couple months ago when my line all of a sudden became very unstable. I started off with a 4 mg line and had no problems when my exchange was upgraded was even able to got up to 8mb. It all worked perfectly for till about a month ago then my 10 mg was only syncing at 5mg so i asked a technician to please recreate my port but he wouldn't he told me my line doesn't support 8mg so i took his advice and downgraded bk to a 4 mg after 4 months of no problems on the 8mg but i felt that i used to have a 4mg and it was fast enuf for what i needed so didn't mind if it would fix my problem. then come a week later and my 4mg is running at 3mg so once again i speak to the support staff and once again they said downgrade to 2mg which i did. Now my question is if i could run no problem with a 4 mg line for 3 years before my exchange was even upgraded why now is distance an issue after 3 years of no problems. AFRIHOST si not worth anyone's time or money im probably going to call it quits with them very soon just waiting for my 2 mg to drop to 1 then ask them now what .
