Lack of technical support

I have been struggling for a couple of days to get an issue with my website which I host behind a Afrihost/MTN Fixed WiFi router resolved. Unfortunately all the "techies" I have spoken to so far do not seem to understand that one can host a website and that it does not have to be on Afrihost. They have all been taught to handle websites hosted at Afrihost but anything other than that beats them.
