Lack of adequate backup on Afrihost hosting site

I recently found out that Afrihost only back up your webhosting site for 14 days, if you lose data - there is no way they can retrieve it. It is indicated as such in their T&C, so lesson learnt, but they have been hosting my site for 3 years. It went down suddenly two weeks ago and they said the backup link they had does not exist anymore - and "sorry for the inconvenience and they can't help - End of story. I have lost my entire website and now have to set it up from scratch ... I can't believe that in 2022 a company, especially an IT company offering hosting services only do backups going back 14 days ... I am speechless.
