"ISP of the Year" does not match the service on the ground. Looking elsewhere.

After more than 20 years as an Afrihost client, I cannot recommend them for business hosting any longer. Our company email (a domain hosted with Afrihost) has been down for three of the last five days: roughly 4 hours on Friday 5 June, around 8 hours on Monday 8 June, and down again the entire day on Tuesday 9 June 2026 with no resolution. Every member of our company, across three offices, was knocked offline each time, in the middle of the working day. The cause, by their own admission, is a server migration being run during business hours. There is no fallback, no redundancy, and no contingency plan, so one server fault takes an entire client base down with no estimated time of recovery. The support experience compounds it. I sat in their WhatsApp queue for hours across three days, a different agent each time, all delivering the same scripted apology and "no ETA." The best part: when you ask how to escalate, they tell you to email their hosting department. You cannot email anyone, because your email is the thing that is down. Plenty of apologies, zero accountability, and no sign of the reliability a business actually pays for. "ISP of the Year" does not match the service on the ground. Looking elsewhere.
