Inconsistent internet and no permanent solution

I have been struggling with my internet for the last 2 months. They keep telling me to reset the router. It doesn't solve my problem. It helps for an hour or so and then I am back to struggling with inconsistent internet connections and ridiculous high ping. I need a solution and I am not getting one.
