I am extremely disappointed with the instability currently being experienced on Afrihost’s Cloud Hosting environment.
I am extremely disappointed with the instability currently being experienced on Afrihost’s Cloud Hosting environment.
For an extended period we have experienced serious issues affecting multiple production systems and business-critical services, including:
* severe cloud server performance degradation * FTP services intermittently unavailable or completely inaccessible * mail services failing or responding extremely slowly * webmail unavailable * unstable production automation processes * inconsistent overall platform stability
These are production environments supporting active business operations, automated processing, scheduled workflows and client-facing services.
Afrihost has confirmed that there are current cloud infrastructure and datacenter migration issues affecting portions of their hosting environment. While I understand that migrations and infrastructure maintenance can be complex, the prolonged instability, lack of meaningful ETA information and ongoing service degradation are simply not acceptable for a professional production hosting environment.
The impact has now extended beyond inconvenience and has directly affected:
* client service delivery * automated business processes * production workflows * and ultimately business reputation and operational continuity
At times multiple critical services were affected simultaneously, including FTP access, mail functionality and overall server responsiveness.
The support staff themselves have remained polite and professional throughout, however the underlying infrastructure instability and lack of clear recovery timelines have created a very poor overall experience.
At this stage I am seriously questioning whether the current hosting platform is suitable for stable production workloads.
