Hosting staff don't understand hosting

I tried to get a php property set for my domain to run a php script in a cron job. When I run the script manually, then it works. When i run it in a cron job, it fails.

I told them this numerous times. I typed in CAPS for them to phone me so that i can explain.

They refused to phone me and when they did they got a tech who knew nothing about hosting to phone me at ridiculous hours.

So wasting copious amounts of time.

I changed the script to run a curl command straight to the https://****.php script and it worked. Again, they told me it does not work.

I again PLEADED with the tech to phone me, AGAIN he logged a callback call for some guy to phone me who AGAIN knew nothing about hosting.

SO PLEASE JUST CALL ME, I WANT TO SPEAK TO THE HOSTING MANAGER to explain to him how useless his staff is.
