Afrihost... 2 megabits is supposed to be 250kbps... My brother's internet doesn't only keep failing, but maxes at 50kbps for the majority of the time. Not only that. It fluctuates every 5 minutes, and there's more downtime than up time. Just writing this review took 20 minutes of waiting. Over the past few months, we kept asking for help. And Afrihost keeps saying that they can't help, and wants us to contact Telkom. Then... Vice versa! Telkom can't help. And even before that, they've had damage to the cables because of fibre being installed. They never pay late, and keep ending up in the crossfire of all these so called processes of cultivation. They pay for a fraction of the service promised. They've endured for months. It's as if you're pocketing the money for free. Why should fixing the internet all the time be their responsibility??? They are paying for a service!!! They need a good solution here, please. Otherwise I won't ever recommend anyone to Afrihost again. I moved from Afrihost a long time ago, but if you can't even provide a quarter of the service promised, I might have to move everyone I know. Because everyone besides my grandma, has problems with you guys. And they just except it, as if it's the standard of South African internet. Prove us wrong... And yes! They've reconfigured the modem/network. They've turned it off and on again. They've had people over. They have been redirected to other people that thought they could help. Just an endless chain of waiting, while their well-earned money gets leeched away.
