From the best to the worst
I have been an afrihost client and happy at that for many years. In the last year I have noticed a decline in the service provided with support tickets being responded to with generic information. More than that, the same complaint can get different responses from different people. It feels to the customer as if the buck is just being passed to get them off their back.

I recently moved to a new address and am yet to have adequately functioning internet. Afrihost is supposed to manage my line, yet is seems to be left up to me to follow up on telkom and get things done. Now that my line is connected, i am told i can have a max speed of 2mps. With repeated checks with telkom, i should be getting up to 10mps. It seems that no one cares enough to make the effort to assist me and get me online, when that is what this company is supposed to do for a living..!! If my line is not performing adequately, is it not the job of the person managing the line to get a solution and make it perform. That is part of the service i am led to believe i am paying for, but not seeing results.

This leaves me very disappointed that a company i truly believed in.
We apologise for any frustration regarding your service with us.
According to the information you have provided, you have used 37GBs of data this month which would indicate that you are online and using data. Any package upgrades can be processed in ClientZone under the Connectivity tab but note that your line statistics are still a factor in whether or not you can get 10mbps. The quality of your DSL line and distance from the exchange are a factor in whether you are able to get the full 10mbps. At the moment, your line statistics would suggest you could go to 4mbps but nothing higher.
You are welcome to request the upgrade in ClientZone. If you have any further questions you can contact us at ***.
We apologise for letting you down in anyway previously and any frustration caused.
