From praise to pathetic in less than 6 months!

After requesting a line transfer for 01/09/2024, for 2 months, I had no fibre as the previous tenants that lived here previously, didn't give the adequate notice to their ISP who held the line, and as such, the line only became available for my ISP on 01/11/2024. Afrihost canceled my service with them and when November came. I had to activate my line again.

During the reactivation, I noticed an amount as outstanding on my account, which I queried by WhatsApp with the Agent helping me, and although not resolved, my line was activated and my payment for November only was processed by Afrihost. The debit order ran from a savings account that didn't have enough money in, and unfortunately it bounced. My line then got suspended today and when accessing my profile on the app, it showed the double installment amount as outstanding.

It has come to light that the additional amount outstanding is for September. I have spent the entire day trying to explain via logging a ticket (which hasn't been responded on or acknowledged), with a successful call back request talking to an Agent who I needed to explain this to 3 times before he understood, then sent an email to them as per the Agents request, made the payment for December which I set to clear immediately, and now another call request which seems is just being ignored as I have never waited this long for them to call.

When I access my account, it shows my payment but statea I still owe R826 and my line is still suspended. Help mr makr sense of this. Why activate and give me fibre for the whole of November with that amount noted as outstanding, but now after paying for Dec, that amount is expected to be paid irrespective of me not having my line moved.

This on top of sitting without fibre for 6 days which could have been reduced to 3 days max if it weren't for the Agents at Afrihost and Vumatel, who don't give a dam about you as a client. Let's not mention how much money I spent on mobile data and it's clear Afrihost DO NOT CARE. So once again I sit in the dark with NO FEEDBACK whatsoever, no fibre, no assistance and further out of pocket thanks to Afrihost.

Going from praising them for service to hating that I need to interact with them took less than 6 months. I am sincerely disappointed in their service and would recommend clients find a different ISP.
