Fixed-LTE

I signed up for a fixed-LTE contract with Afrihost where you get a discount on a router provided that you don't cancel within 6 months.

Everything was fine until CellC went bankrupt and suddenly streaming or doing anything became impossible. Speed tests show that the actual speed is less than 1mbps, which is far from what is needed to do pretty much anything online.

I tried to contact Afrihost but it seems that their live support is now always offline and if you're lucky enough to connect to an agent on whatsapp, they either don't respond at all or they are too *********** to be of any help.

I wanted to downgrade my package while the problem is hopefully being investigated but it is impossible to do so after the 16th of the month and cancelling would result in a R900 fee due to their T's and C's.

So essentially, I am paying R850 a month for the ability to read emails (if I'm lucky).

Very disappointed with Afrihost.
