Fiber Service provider

Dear Afrihost - please, in future, choose your partners very carefully - VUMATEL is letting you down! I have been using your services (mobile and ADSL) for a few years and decided to take you up on your Fiber special. I diligently cancelled my ADSL line with you after applying for fiber and also have sent Telkom various requests to cancel from their side... VUMATEL have never let me know an ETA on installation, even after I logged queries with them and asked you (AFRIHOST) to followup with them... four weeks later.... After no feedback, I called VUMATEL and was told that Fiber was not active in my complex thus the reason for them not contacting me...what is interesting is that my neighbours in the very same complex have working fiber...installed by VUMATEL. Seems they don't even know their own business or clients....

It has been a few weeks now with no fixed line internet at home ...luckily I am paying R99 per gig from AFRIHOST as a work around :( (sarcastic smiley face)

I would not have taken your deal in hindsight
