False Promotions

<p>I app**** for a fibre product offered by Afrihost where they would sponsor R 4000 to a new fibre installation. I app**** for the product but had problems with the payment method. I brought this to their attention and after various e-mails, one of their clerks, Sinalo G, contacted me to have this sorted. We still had problems, so she eventually did the entire application from her side. I got various e-mails and messages on my side, all which I queried, and I was passified that this is normal with a new application. As the Fibre installation started, I kept on questioning Afrihost about the procedure, when to give notice on the exisitng ADSL and when to expect the fibre router, which was part of the package. (I have all these e-mails) No response from then - but I felt they were knowing what they are doing so I let it be. On Sunday Morning, I receive an e-mial from the Fibre supplier, giving me instructions to test the fibre - all connections were good - I must contact Afrihost. I did so and spoke to Vuhle - who said I do not qualify for the router or the installation cost as this was not part of the deal. I reminded her of the procedure that I followed and she said she will take it up on Monday, when full staff compliment is there. Nothing from Vuhle - So I phoned again and spoke to Kahlego. After holding on 20 Minutes, she comes back on and appoligises - they see I have used the promotional order and they will release a Router immediately.I asked her about the Installation costs, she will take it up with billing. This morning, a debit order is raised against my account for R 3125.84 for the full installtion cost and for a month of data - which I have not even stated using yet? Whilst one can pusue this matter legally, everybody out there muast be warned against these promotional offers - which seem to "dissappear" once the order is placed. </p>
