False advertising & incorrect advice from own staff.

I am so disappointed that I signed up with Afrihost. They advertised that they would pay installation costs of R1710 if you take any of their packages. I have Vumatel install Fibre to my home. I noticed that I signed up through Vumatel's website, that the installation discount was not showing. I therefore waited till the next day so that I could contact Afrihost to ask them how I should sign up with them to get the benefit. They explained that the Vumatel website was not updated, but that I could sign up for their special promotion - and they even gave me the link to sign up with. After a day or so, I sent another e-mail to ask what the procedure was to get this paid. Should I pay Vumatel first and then claim from Afrihost, or do I send them the invoice directly. I was very quickly told that I did not sign up with Afrihost, and will therefore not get the benefit. Well, the link I was given by Afrihost personnel was: https://www.afrihost.com/fibre/?promo=4k#fibre-availability. Maybe I'm stupid, but this is an Afrihost site, isn't it ? I never signed up on a Vumatel website, so why are you refusing to re-imburse me ? Melanie
