Extremely disappointed with static IP setup

Dear Afrihost,<br> I've been an avid customer of yours for the past 6 or so years. Even sometimes referring friends and other people to you because i've just not had any issues with you guys.<br> This all changed the past 2 weeks. For me to continue my work, I've got to set up a static ip to vpn into my workplace.<br> First of all, I've got a network setup and all hardware requirements for my network. I can currently do all my work with this setup and can dial out my ADSL connection from my firewall (my firewall manages PPPoE connection via bridged adsl modem).<br> Now, according to you, there is a certain configuration for a static IP setup, namely L2TP with certain parameters that no organization in the world is currently doing.<br> Basically this entails L2TP without IPSEC, which is not even heard of.<br> <br> In this case, you are forcing me to buy one of your routers at a price of R1999 just to support this feature, although I have all the equipment currently.<br> In this case, after emails back and forth, phone calls which maybe totals 3 hours to your call center, i've finally had enough and asked where I can buy one of these routers. You told me, sorry out of stock, ask another ISP.<br> REALLY???<br>
