Exploding router and horrible return procedure. Once again I'm reminded that bigger isn't better, especially with ISPs. I logged a return for an LTE router that exploded, still under warranty. Afrihost collected the router without replacing so that they can first 'assess' it. They then charged me R250 for this privilege, which the promise to credit me if the router is actually faulty. I waited a whole week for their 'expert team' to assess that the smoke coming from the router was indeed a problem, and then they dispatched a new router, not to the collect address (which would be the logical thing to do), but to a random address on my profile where I haven't stayed since September last year. Day 11 and still no router, no LTE, but happily taking my money for the time I'm unable to use their service. Advice to future travelers: Don't be fooled by their massive marketing budget. Stay away.
