Exceptionally bad service

As a loyal existing customer of Afrihost, I have received exceptionally bad service in trying to add fibre to the services I currently pay for. After ordering it on the 4th September, being advised on the 10th September that the request has been transferred to their fibre ops department and when following up last night and being on hold for an hour I was given an undertaking that the Openserve order number I requested would be sms'd to me this morning by 8am. After calling again at 9am I was assured that my query would be escalated and I was given a Openserve order number which turned out to be a number that Openserve knows nothing about. After Openserve did a check on any orders for me, there was nothing found. When I called Afrihost back again this afternoon I was given a very long winded explanation of spreadsheets being downloaded and given to their fibre ops department and that there was nothing I could do but wait for the escalation to run its course. Whilst the information gave me insight into Afrihosts operation it didn't solve my problem and the agent could not give any explanation to what had happened, how long it would take for anybody to give me feedback, and when I asked to speak to someone who could help me, I was told that there was nobody I could speak to and he was the only one I could speak to. When I enquired how Afrihost would feel if I complained on social media, he told me to do what I felt I needed to do. When I asked him more than once if his attitude was right when dealing with customers I was just met with more arrogance and when I asked him how he would feel if his name was added to the complaint, again, he told me to do what I felt I needed to do. There was NOT once an offer to get anybody to call me back. Being patient and courteous through all the calls and holding on for excessive lengths at a time, this treatment and out of sheer exasperation forced me to turn to social media. After I posted a complaint on Afrihost' s Facebook page, they were sorry to hear of my complaint, reprimanded me from using the agents name and said to inbox them the details and they would assist. I inboxed my cell number asking to speak to someone if they could call me, I received a message half an hour later saying that someone could call me but the writer of the message could not give me any timeframe of when that would be. That was 3.06pm today and as of 9pm, no call as promised or follow up message received. How a company responds to complaints speaks volumes about their business, so much so I really don't think I want to even continue to try and give them more business and pay them more money every month if this is how they deal with new sales opportunities and customers, I'll rather just take my business elsewhere and save my breath.
