Don't go with Afrihost. You WILL regret it.

Dear Afrihost,

I see that I was not wrong and that there are indeed latency issues with international internet traffic. A pity that more consideration was not extended to me on the 22nd of April when the fault started rearing its head and I made a ticket about it.

I found Afrihost's answer to my query then to be short and a put-down to get me to "go away". You provided no alternatives or further help on the matter but told me, basically, "this is the way it is" and then shoved PR words down my throat. NOT happy with Afrihost. The amount of issues I've had with Afrihost since the inception of this account has been insane, worse than Mweb when they were still "bad" in the 2010's (they have improved a lot). Extremely disappointed that I allowed myself to be swayed by friends' opinions to go with Afrihost.

Do not worry, I won't log another issue again with Afrihost and WILL be cancelling this contract as soon as it expires in October (I'm not paying a stupid R1000 cancellation fee). This is not how you treat your heavy spending clients who spend R800 a month just to receive issues. Do not bother responding to this because I do not care to hear any further. I tried being nice, but it seems Afrihost only responds when one shows aggression, as I've experienced with a few previous issues.

Disappointed. People, DO NOT go with this ISP. There aren't words which I can use to convey my deep dissatisfaction, so just steer clear. I'm not sure how they, apparently, won ISP of the year a few years back. They must've fired everyone since then and replaced them with whatever this is. The staff don't even check your profile to see what product you have with them before responding. They first told me all sorts of nonsense about my account, which weren't true as they thought I was on a lower-end package before I had to correct them and ask them to first check my profile before advising further as they came across as uninformed.
