Don't ever try and cancel....
Dealing with Afrihost (who have provided fibre to my house for the last 5 years), has been an absolute pleasure – until I needed to cancel because I am relocating and there is an existing contract at the new house. You have to do this via client zone and there is no option to cancel for this reason – according to support “pick another reason” (i.e. our culture is that it is acceptable for our clients to lie as our website has issues..) This doesn’t work for me so the support staff member said she would cancel on my behalf – but when I confirmed this via email another support staff member started quoting billing cycle dates which are different to those in the client zone. The way support is dealing with this is to just ignore my emails. Still waiting for confirmation that my service will be active up to and including 31/12/2022 and cancelled on that date. Not a great way to deal with clients (particularly since I initially advised that I would be looking at signing a new contract with Afrihost in Feb / March next year at the new premises – something that I am obviously not going to do now)!
