Disgusting service
I am at my wits end! 3 weeks ago I started to experience slow wifi. I phoned Afrihost 2 weeks ago to report the matter. I have reset the router, the router was reset from their side, the name was changed etc. My package is 200mbps download & 100mbps upload. The NUMEROUS speed tests that I have provided to various agents, still remained below 0 or just above. I am unable to work from home - my Teams & Outlook is not connecting, VPN failure etc. It can't even open a simple Excel sheet.
A ticket was logged with OpenServe to identify the problem, and 3 days later, I got an email from Afrihost to advise the issue has been resolved. I rushed home, tested it and then emailed the agent back immediately to tell him that the issue still persists - and OpenServe should not close the ticket.
So I have been following up daily - I have exported the whatsapp chat and hopefully all calls are recorded on their end. But me, as the PAYING CUSTOMER, needs to follow up and phone and try to find out what's going on.
After I have spoken to two or three agents who "escalated" the ticket, I phoned it to speak to a manager. Warren (email: ***) said that the ticket was closed. So how on this earth can an escalation be done on a closed ticket? I am there just a "number on the books". I have been a customer with Afrihost for 7 years! And this is the service I get? No problem with taking my debit order monthly. But please note: "there will be a call out fee for your account".
The first ticket logged with OpenServe: 94BTK010224 (01/02). The second ticket logged with OpenServe after I insisted a new ticket is logged: 200BTK050224
I enquired about how long I need to give notice. The one agent, "Imphile D" recons, that I need to give 2 months notice. And "The client don't have to sign or agree on it the management of Afrihost implement those changes for cancellation policy".
I have spoken to the following agents AND a manager - with NO luck.
Thursday: 01/02: Linda M Friday: 02/02: Lerato R Saturday: 03/02: NO RESPONSE Monday: 05/02: Anna M Monday: 05/02: Imphile D Monday: 05/02 - phoned & emailed the manager: Warren (email: ***) - I STILL AWAIT HIS FEEDBACKa Tuesday: 06/02 - phoned in again and spoke to Eugene - he would've come back to me - STILL WAITING
Email correspondence since 31/01/2024:
- Josee B - Sisanda - Kgalalelo M
Email sent to ***,za on 05/02/2024 - no feedback or response received.
On sms - I have rated my experience and received the following message: "We apologise for the poor service you received. Somebody will contact you regarding this. Please reply to this want any comments or suggestions. Afrihost".
STILL NO ONE HAS BOTHERED TO COME BACK TO ME.
I have never missed ONE payment in 7 years. But this is the service that I get?
I need an OpenServe technician to come to my house, and fix the problem PHYSICALLY as obviously it cannot be fixed remotely.
If this is not sorted by COB tomorrow, 08/02/2024 I will go to the Ombutsman.
